The parent/child solution is a big problem our member here at TrustDrivenCare has, and for a good reason!
As you know, children don't have their own phones or emails, so their parent/guardian will often if not always use their own phone/email when creating the child's patient profile, obviously the child will have their own name but with their parents email and/or phone.
Inside JaneApp™/EHR's, that makes sense, inside a marketing/automation/contact management system it's considered a duplicate 😢
We don't allow for duplicate contact creation in TrustDrivenCare, we do create the child inside TrustDrivenCare with all their stats (Total Visits, Total Sales Collected, etc...), but the child does not have an email or phone, only their name, birthday, address, and their specific stats.
How or where does the child's appointment reminders get sent out, since the child's contact records doesn't have an email or phone (even though those are the parents)?
We have a custom built solution, we call it... drum rolls... the parent/child solution 😂
All jokes aside (even though that is what we named it), TrustDrivenCare will see the child has an appointment coming up, we will lookup the parent via the parent/child relationship you setup in JaneApp™, and we'll send out the appointment reminder for the child directly to the parent that has a phone/email in TrustDrivenCare - so all conversations can be found on the parent's record.
It's much easier to keep track of 1 conversations versus 2 duplicate conversations in 2 different places for the same phone number.
