💡 Appointment Filtering Examples
Not all appointments are the same. Sometimes you need to send a specific message only to patients visiting a certain location (if you have multiple locations), or perhaps send pre-care instructions only for a specific treatment type (eg. patients can't have makeup if they are going to a Facil treatment).
These guides show you how to apply Filters to your workflows to ensure the right message hits the right patient.
Note: These filters can be applied to any appointment trigger, including:
- Appointment Booked
- Appointment Confirmed
- Appointment Showed / No-Showed
- Appointment Cancelled
Select a filter below to learn more:
1. Filter by Treatment Name
Perfect for sending specific pre-care or post-care instructions based on the service provided (e.g., sending "Remove Mackup Instructions" only to patients booking "Facials").

2. Filter by Clinic Location
Essential for multi-location clinics. Use this to send location-specific parking details, directions, or contact numbers based on which branch the patient is visiting.

3. Filter by Staff Member
Use this to personalize messages based on the provider. For example, sending a specific "Welcome" video from Dr. Smith only to patients booked on Dr. Smith's calendar.
